Hr & Payroll Associate

The Mina Group is looking for an HR & Payroll Associate for our San Francisco office. You will be the first point of contact for employees and play an important role in creating a positive work environment for employees in our restaurants and corporate office. You will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll as well as providing support across a variety of HR related functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a service-oriented individual to gain exposure to a wide variety of HR functions in a supportive, fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Director, Human Resources.

What you will do, though not all inclusive:

• Provide customer-focused support to employee questions on payroll, benefits, HR processes and general HR support
• Process bi-weekly payroll and off cycle checks
• Maintain accurate employee records in our HRIS system
• Support the administration of all benefit programs including open and new hire benefit enrollment, verifying the accuracy of invoices, and ensuring enrollment records are accurate and up-to-date
• Assist recruiting team with candidate screening and scheduling
• Assist with new hire onboarding in our SF office
• Support other HR team projects
• Other duties as assigned or needed

What we're looking for:

• 2+ years of related work experience in HR, benefits and/or payroll; experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus
• Strong customer service orientation; someone who enjoys solving problems and helping people get the information they need
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated learner who can proactively assess and recommend ways for us to continually improve our processes and be more efficient
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Bilingual Spanish highly desirable
• Restaurant experience a plus
