This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer – Azure & Kubernetes in the United States.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to design, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure with a focus on Kubernetes (AKS) and containerized workloads. You will work in a remote-first, collaborative environment, partnering with application, security, and operations teams to ensure scalable, secure, and highly available platforms. The position emphasizes automation, infrastructure as code (Terraform / Ansible), CI / CD optimization, and proactive monitoring. You will lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform reliability. The ideal candidate is technically strong, results-oriented, and enjoys solving complex cloud infrastructure challenges while driving operational excellence.
Accountabilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure-native infrastructure supporting enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Manage AKS clusters and containerized workloads, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) for reproducible, secure deployments.
- Optimize Azure networking components (VNets, NSGs, load balancers, VPNs) for performance and resiliency.
- Integrate and manage Cloudflare services (DNS, CDN, WAF, Zero Trust) for edge traffic security and performance.
- Enhance CI / CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other observability tools.
- Lead incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement automated preventative measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce governance, RBAC policies, and compliance standards.
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure.Strong expertise in AKS / Kubernetes and containerized workloads.Experience supporting Windows Server, IIS, and .NET Framework / Core applications.Advanced proficiency in Terraform, and experience with Ansible; scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.Knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, load balancers, VPNs) and edge services (Cloudflare DNS / CDN / WAF / Zero Trust).Experience with CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics; Prometheus / Grafana / New Relic a plus).Familiarity with cloud security, governance, and compliance practices (Azure Policy, Blueprints, RBAC).Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Preferred certifications : Azure AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400.Benefits
