We are seeking a Solar Design Coordinator to assist with the preparation of site layouts and electrical designs. Candidates must be responsible and productive individuals with high-quality work ethics. This would be a great opportunity for an EXPERIENCED Solar Design Coordinator who is motivated to join a well-known & SUCCESSFUL organization. Job Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the design of electrical and structural plans for permitting and commissioning at multiple AHJ's.
  • Assess and confirm system design, including but not limited to array layout, wire runs and interconnection method.
  • Submit drawings for customer review and approval.
  • Identify and diligently resolve design issues.
  • Track and manage numerous projects by coordinating with multiple jurisdictions to meet requirements.
  • Assist with final review of system designs to ensure a high level of accuracy and completion.
  • Provide technical direction and customer support during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, and performance monitoring when necessary.
  • Research building codes and plan implementation of new system design requirements.

Qualifications :

  • Previous solar design and electrical experience highly desirable.
  • BS degree in ME or EE or related discipline preferred
  • Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, NEC requirements, construction practices
  • Tesla / energy storage experience.
  • Good knowledge in AutoCAD
  • NABCEP certification preferred
  • Strong coordination, problem-solving, documentation and data entry skills.
  • Extremely detail oriented with strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
