Summary :
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to all ages of the life span including pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients served by the Food & Nutrition Department. Assumes responsibility for performing inpatient and outpatient diet instructions including food / drug interactions; completes nutritional assessments (SOAP, nutrition support notes); calculates nutritional requirements; assess adequacy of nutrition support and makes recommendations on TF / TPN; provides nutritional services for specialty clinics (i.e. medical, prenatal, radiation oncology); participates in community nutrition programs; functions as a member of the health care team; to provide optimal nutritional care.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education : 4 Year Degree, prefer B.S. / B.A. in Dietetics.
Experience : 3 years experience in a hospital setting preferred.
License : RD License Required. NYS CDN required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
