This role offers an opportunity to lead a field engineering team, assisting customers with Canonical's open source solutions across public clouds and data centers. The team works with products like Ubuntu, Openstack, Kubernetes, and more, deploying and testing solutions, and engaging in presales activities.
The ideal candidate will manage and develop a team of engineers, provide technical guidance, and participate in presales to meet departmental goals. The position is home-based, managing a team within your time zone.
Responsibilities include :
- Leading and developing a team of engineers across presales and professional services
- Solving customer problems and acting as a trusted advisor
- Mentoring, coaching, and providing career development
- Implementing engineering processes and representing the team to stakeholders
- Participating in leadership discussions and project planning
Qualifications :
Knowledge of cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Openstack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph)Practical Linux and networking skillsExperience in technical presalesStrong communication skills in EnglishLeadership and mentoring experienceOrganizational skills and a high academic recordWillingness to travel up to 40%Preferred skills :
