Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Intimates Apparel Designer to join our design team. This role is responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and executing innovative lingerie, sleepwear, and loungewear collections that align with brand identity, seasonal trends, and consumer needs. The ideal candidate will balance creativity with strong technical skills and a deep understanding of fabrics, trims, and garment construction specific to intimates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and interpret seasonal trends, color palettes, fabrics, and trims relevant to intimates and loungewear.
  • Design and develop collections including lingerie, bras, panties, shapewear, sleepwear, and related categories.
  • Create detailed sketches, CADs, and technical design packages for sample development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (merchandising, product development, sourcing, and production) to ensure design intent, cost, and quality goals are met.
  • Select fabrics, laces, elastics, hardware, and trims that enhance both function and aesthetics.
  • Prepare mood boards, inspiration presentations, and line sheets for internal reviews and buyer meetings.
  • Oversee fittings, providing design input on garment construction, silhouette, and fit adjustments.
  • Ensure consistency of brand identity across all categories while innovating to capture market trends.
  • Manage design calendars and deliverables to meet deadlines.
  • Stay current on competitive market landscape, consumer insights, and emerging innovations in intimates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
  • 3–7 years of design experience, preferably in intimates, lingerie, or loungewear.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and patternmaking specific to intimates.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD design programs; knowledge of 3D design software a plus.
  • Excellent eye for color, fabric, and trend application.
  • Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail.
