Role Overview :
The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex tax services, including review of corporate, partnership, and individual returns, client advisory on structuring and compliance, and ASC 740 tax provisions. This position plays a pivotal role in both technical execution and team leadership.
Responsibilities :
Manage and coordinate the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals
Provide advisory services related to tax structuring, transactions, and compliance
Review tax provisions under U.S. GAAP (ASC 740)
Collaborate with other internal service areas (wealth management, accounting, consulting) to deliver holistic client solutions
Develop technical tax expertise in domestic and international areas relevant to the firm’s clients
Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development efforts
Train, mentor, and manage junior team members
Contribute to process improvement, risk management, and practice development initiatives
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field
CPA or JD required (must be qualified to represent clients before the IRS)
8+ years of tax experience in public accounting or a related environment
3+ years of experience supervising and developing tax professionals
Proficiency in corporate, individual, and partnership taxation
Prior experience with CCH ProSystem FX Tax strongly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities
