Responsibilities

• Administers and documents medications / treatments as directed on the medication administration record (MAR) and treatment administration record (TAR) per physician orders.
• Orders all necessary medication and treatments from appropriate pharmacy or notifies responsible party when supply refill is needed.
• Responsible for receiving and verifying all medicine received is accurate according to pharmacy label and MAR. Reports any discrepancies to supervisor.
• Responsible for proper storage of all medications and dating of appropriate vials or bottles at time of initial opening.
• Participates in the development and updating of each resident’s service plan.
• Provide personal care and general nursing care to residents as needed or assigned.
• Perform vital signs, B / Ps, weights and other trained procedures as directed by Supervisor.
• Foster teamwork and have a positive impact on team members, residents, and visitors
