Test Engineer

Test Engineer — Reston, VA - 1 day a week onsite

Type : Contract | Compensation : $61 / HR

Overview

We're seeking a Test Engineer to support a fast-paced Agile Scrum team. You'll focus on validating ETL workflows, automating tests, and ensuring system reliability across API and UI layers. Strong Selenium and Java skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities :

Validate ETL processes and MongoDB data changes

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts (Selenium required; Playwright preferred)

Perform API and UI testing (manual + automated)

Build / manage CI / CD pipelines

Track / report issues using Jira

Participate in code reviews , requirement analysis, and Agile ceremonies

Write and maintain technical / test documentation

Required Skills :

3+ years of experience in QA or software development

Strong programming in Java Python is a plus

Experience with Selenium APIs , and data validation

Familiarity with MongoDB , CI / CD, and Agile environments

Exposure to Playwright cloud platforms (AWS / Azure), and TDD / BDD is a plus

Education :

Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field

Or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
