Unit : Emergency Department (Level 3 Trauma Center in WI, Level 2 in IL)

Start Date : January 12, 2026

End Date : April 13, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1910 – $1960

Weekend Requirement : Every 3rd weekend

Patient Ratios : Days : 4 : 1, Nights / Weekends : 5 : 1

Charting System : Epic (preferred)

Orientation : 36 hours

ER RN Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse experience

Prior travel nursing experience required

Active Wisconsin or Compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

Preferred certifications : TNCC, TNS

Experience in Level II Trauma Center and Epic charting preferred

Ability to provide clinical care for neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)

Must provide two supervisor references after offer

Latex allergies cannot be accommodated

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages

Assess, triage, and manage trauma, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health emergencies

Administer medications, perform procedures, and manage emergency interventions

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy

Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient care coordination

Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training

Float within the Emergency Department as needed and adapt to changing patient volumes

Provide care for a wide range of diagnoses including trauma, stroke, cardiac events, and behavioral health crises
