Your contributions are essential in tackling barriers and pursuing what might seem impossible.
Your Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement engaging daily activities for our Occupational Therapy Work Training Program, focusing on work readiness and vocational skill enhancement.Assist clients in improving essential skills including time management, task completion, interaction, and executive functioning.Offer hands-on assistance and adaptive strategies, encouraging independence in work-related tasks.Work collaboratively with the supervising occupational therapist to track client progress, modify approaches, and document outcomes effectively.Ensure a structured, supportive, and safe learning environment that facilitates growth and skill acquisition.Communicate progress and program expectations clearly with clients, team members, and caregivers.Expected Work Hours :
Monday to Friday from 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm, with some flexibility.
Qualifications : Required :
At least 1 year of relevant experience with Neurological conditions, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, or Orthopedic issues.Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for documentation.NBCOT Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA). Associate's degree required, along with certification.Current State of Michigan licensure as a COTA.Valid NPI number.Ability to obtain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and maintain documentation to uphold certification and licensure.Preferred :
1-2 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation or work hardening programs.Our Dedication to Diversity :
