The Production Affordability Senior Manager will be a deputy to the F135 Production Affordability Lead and will assist with the budget, schedule, and the technical responsibility required in reporting monthly cost & schedule data to the Joint Program Office.

This role supports strategic and cost-related initiatives that support the Production PMO as the Deputy for Affordability scope within the F135 Production acquisition and contract execution phases.

What You Will Do :

  • Own reporting of C088 for customer funded affordability funding and management and oversight of the affordability projects.
  • Develop strategic and cost-related initiatives that support the Production PMO, develop business cases that support the initiatives and present them to the customer as appropriate for funding potential.
  • Manufacturing cost focal that integrates closely with the War on Cost efforts internally and works cross functionally to lead root cause investigations of cost and schedule variances in support of affordability, and drive recovery plans.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and empower team to implement appropriate actions to achieve improvements and contribute to program achievements with the CORE operating system.
  • Promote innovative and collaborative culture across the program and ensure robust pipeline of cost reduction ideas are generated for F135 Product

Qualifications You Must Have :

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 10+ years' experience in Affordability, Program Management, Finance, Operations or Supply Chain required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract
  • Program management skills and proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and business results required
  • Qualifications We Prefer :

  • Experience in building strong relationships with internal & external customers through a positive culture, commitment, credibility and transparency
  • CORE or other lean manufacturing / continuous improvement operating experience
  • Knowledge of EVMS or relevant cost & schedule management in the Aerospace and Defense industry a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
