Job Details
Registered Professional Nurse providing safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to ICU patients.
Delivers patient care incorporating Relationship Centered Care and nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and organizational standards.
Assesses and evaluates patient care needs using critical thinking in patient care management.
Integrates assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team in plan of care development, implementation, and evaluation.
Prioritizes patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, discharge planning, and delegation.
Educates patients and caregivers about plan of care, transition, health promotion, and disease prevention.
Communicates effectively with patients, family, and healthcare team members.
Manages assignments within Modified Primary Nursing Care Delivery Model and allocates resources effectively.
Role models Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care through various patient care actions such as Admission Welcome, Bedside shift Report, HELP protocols, Purposeful Hourly Rounding, Medication Review, Discharge Wrap Up, and MD / RN Unit Collaboration.
Considers patient values, preferences, cultural diversity, and expressed needs in care.
Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
Uses evidence-based practices to understand patient perceptions of care.

Job Requirements
