Biller / Collector, Home Health

JOB SUMMARY

  • The Biller / Collector is responsible for ensuring all bills are submitted to payers timely and without error. The Biller / Collector is also responsible for timely follow up and collection of accounts. This includes, but is not limited to; monitoring and correcting Hold Bill and Pre–Bill edits, as well as submission of late charges and corrected claims.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Minimum Work Experience

  • No previous experience
  • Required Licenses / Certifications

    • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.
  • Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
  • Skill in problem solving.
  • Skill in verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures.
  • Ability to set priorities among multiple requests.
  • Ability to interact with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public effectively
