Job Title : Press Setup Operator

Job Description

The Press Setup Operator will have the opportunity for advancement within a growing organization. This role operates on a 1st shift with working hours from 6am to 4 : 30pm, Monday through Thursday, with optional overtime available on Fridays. The position requires at least one year of experience as a Press Setup Operator or Setup Stamping Operator, along with a High School Diploma or GED. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform setups, adjustments, and changeovers on presses according to production requirements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure proper tooling and materials are in place before starting production.
• Conduct inspections to confirm setups meet specifications.
• Work closely with machine operators and maintenance personnel to optimize performance.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
• Document setup processes and report any equipment concerns.

Work Environment

The role is on the 1st Shift from 6am to 4 : 30pm, Monday through Thursday, with optional overtime on Fridays. The work environment is clean but can become hot during the summer months, with fans provided at workstations. The facility employs 140 people across two shifts in Rockford.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00 / hr.
