Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient rehab unit night shift in New York, requiring an active NY RN license and BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit
  • Patient population includes stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury cases
  • Required to float to medical-surgical units as needed
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Weekend coverage required every other weekend
  • Patient ratios are 1 : 5 on days and 1 : 12 on nights
  • Utilizes Hoyer Lift and Sit to Stand lift equipment
  • Epic EMR experience is required
  • Role involves care for patients with neurological and spinal injuries
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this contract
  • Limited block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed
  • No more than 1 week of requested time off will be approved per contract
  • Return staff must have a one-year gap since prior employment at the facility
  • Up to 5 hours of paid modules must be completed prior to start
  • Dress code and further onboarding requirements will be specified during orientation

  • Active NY RN license required at the time of application
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year acute rehab hospital experience
  • Strong experience with CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) patients required
  • Epic charting experience is required
  • Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
