QC Lab Technician

Description

Perform daily verification of lab equipment and instruments (balance, pipette, refrigerator, freezer, oven, FTIR, GCMS, pH meter, Incubators, etc). Document and sample incoming Raw Materials. Analyze raw materials, intermediates and bulk goods using : Instrumentation- FTIR, Wet Chem- Density, Specific Gravity, Draw Downs, Percent Solids, Gardner’s Test, pH, etc. Organoleptic- Evaluation of material using one’s senses. Support Chemist and Technicians by : Preparing samples, media, broth, and solvent solutions as needed. Cleaning lab glassware. Stocking workstations with lab supplies. Change disposition of raw materials, intermediates and bulk goods from QC after evaluation (APPROVED / REJECTED / OOS / REWORK). Cleans and maintains assigned areas and performs other duties as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2 year’s of relevant Quality Control experience REQUIRED

o Degree in Life Science REQUIRED

o Experience with cosmetics, food science, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or specialty chemical manufacturing desirable PREFERRED

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 / hr.
