Located in the heart of Dallas, Texas Institute for Surgery (TIS) is a state-of-the-art surgical hospital dedicated to providing the best in surgical services in combination with renowned patient care. Our facility has nine ORs, three pain management / lithotripsy treatment rooms, and CT scan radiology services. There are also nine patient and family-friendly inpatient rooms for longer recovery needs. TIS was founded and is jointly owned by a select group of highly-acclaimed Dallas surgeons and Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas. TIS surgeons specialize in orthopedic surgery, back and spine surgery, pain management, ENT procedures, plastic surgery, foot and ankle surgery, urological surgical care, sports medicine, and other specialties.

Exempt Status : Non-Exempt

Education & Training :

High School diploma or equivalent required

Licenses / Certifications : N / A

Experience :

At least 1-year standard housekeeping experience with OR equipment and materials required

Able to stand for long periods of time

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Wet mops floors.

2. Cleans and disinfects walls, furniture, floors, and OR equipment.

3. Cleans all horizontal and vertical surfaces as needed.

4. Moves contaminated mattresses and clean underneath mattresses. Moves OR table and cleans underneath.

5. Takes trash, dirty linens, and medical waste to appropriate receptacle.

6. Maintains housekeeping equipment and utility closets in an orderly and clean manner.

7. Restock items needed for the OR.

8. Cleans and services the OR hallways.

9. Other duties as assigned. Must work within the scope of practice.
