This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Precast Senior Designer in the United States .

We are seeking a talented and experienced Precast Senior Designer to lead the design and development of high-quality precast and prestressed concrete solutions for major infrastructure and transportation projects. In this role, you will guide multidisciplinary teams to ensure every project meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and sustainability. You’ll play a key part in mentoring junior engineers, reviewing complex designs, and driving innovation in concrete engineering. Accountabilities :

  • Lead and execute the design and engineering of precast and prestressed concrete structures for diverse infrastructure projects.
  • Perform and review detailed structural analyses, calculations, and drawings to ensure compliance with industry codes and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to develop cost-effective, efficient, and constructible design solutions.
  • Select materials, components, and production methods that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards.
  • Support project estimation and planning throughout all phases of project execution.
  • Ensure design accuracy, adherence to QA / QC standards, and timely project delivery.
  • Stay current with evolving codes, technologies, and practices within the precast / prestressed concrete industry.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, fostering knowledge-sharing and technical development.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in precast concrete design engineering, particularly in transportation and underground structures (vaults, manholes, drainage, pump stations).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Strong knowledge of ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE-7, AASHTO, and familiarity with IBC codes.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and RISA 3D design software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a collaborative and proactive attitude.
