Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring proficiency with advanced cardiac support procedures and night shift availability.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
  • Provides care for post-open heart day 2 patients using advanced equipment including Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
  • Direct patient caseload includes critically ill cardiac patients
  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients
  • Document patient responses to interventions and medical treatments
  • Monitor and manage intravenous infusions, blood products, and patient vital signs
  • Assist physicians in examinations and support minor diagnostic procedures
  • Coordinate care planning and communicate effectively with patients and families
  • Delegation of tasks to support staff is expected
  • Team-based collaborative environment
  • A six-month separation is required before returning for consideration after the conclusion of a 26-week contract

  • Active OK or multistate compact RN license required
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required
  • Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Must have proficiency with advanced circulatory support devices such as Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
  • Some computer skills required
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
