Intensivist - Medical ICU

The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Service line at the Northwell Health's South Shore University Hospital is seeking an experienced Full-time Intensivist to join our team in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ICU). South Shore University Hospital is the eastern most Long Island tertiary hospital for Northwell Health. This 305-bed hospital is rapidly growing and focus with plans to potentially expand to over four hundred beds. The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Intensive Care Unit is a 10-bed ICU unit with an additional 4 Stepdown beds. The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery service line performs 600 cardiac related surgeries per year from open procedures, transcatheter based therapies, ECMO, and LV support for high-risk PCI. Candidates must be fellowship trained, and Board Certified in Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery . Primary board certifications can include Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, or General Surgery. Candidates graduating from their sub-specialty training will also be considered depending upon CTICU experience during fellowship training.
