Nurse Manager
West Central Georgia Regional Hospital is seeking candidates for the position of Nurse Manager. This is a fulltime position and eligible for State benefits. This position will work in the NEW HOPE Forensic unit up to 30 individuals. The unit shifts are 12 hours.
Responsibilities include :
- Managing, planning, organizing, and directing all nursing activities in assigned facility.
- Ensuring the quality of nursing care delivered in hospitals, public health facilities, and community based programs.
- Directing subordinate supervisors and staff.
- Coordinating response to disaster and emergencies.
- Developing and managing the budget and making cost effective decisions.
- Developing policies, setting standards and planning objectives for the nursing program in accordance with established policies.
- Developing staffing patterns.
- Evaluating nursing standards and nurse protocols for all nursing programs. Initiating and participating in the development of community wide policy to improve the health status of the stakeholder.
- Interpreting policies and communicating changes in regulations and procedures.
- Making long-range plans and regularly reviewing activities, problems and functions of services being delivered.
- Organizing and planning a systematic and continuous quality / performance improvement program for the practice of nursing.
- Overseeing the collection of data for statistical records.
- Planning and directing the work of nursing or other professional staff and assuring an adequate level of nursing care.
- Providing staff development including orientation, in-service training, workshops and continuing education for all levels of nursing staff.
- Reviewing state, federal, and other regulatory standards information in order to direct the quality improvement activities and achieve compliance.
