Duties :
- Perform testing of plated product
XRF measurement of plating thickness.
Location of selective plating.Solderability.Dimensional, or mechanical measurements – for example – progression, camber, coil set, part width and thickness.Visual examination of parts under a microscope.Working safely with a variety of chemicals.Other testing as specified.Recording of resultsHard copy forms.
Electronic forms.Assisting with Production needsThe workload in Quality Control is highly variable, depending upon the number of plating lines running and the product mix. It can be the case that staffing in QC exceeds what is needed to perform required quality testing. In those cases, the Quality Control Technician may be asked to assist Production. This can include items such as :
Assisting with changeover.Cleanup.Assisting with preventive maintenance functions.Acting as the second operator on products requiring more than one operator.Helping with splices.Other tasks as identified by the Production Manager or the Production Supervisor.On the night shift, specifically, the Production Supervisor is authorized to assign Quality Control personnel to Production functions, at his or her discretion.Record analytical results as requiredPaper records.
Excel spreadsheets.Maintain organized files of test results.Skills / Requirements :
This position requires basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).Basic Microsoft Excel knowledge is helpfulRequires the ability to work a 12-hour shift.6 : 00pm-6 : 00am, Train on days but it will be a night shift hours after training .
