Staff Accountant Opportunity

We are looking for a detail-oriented staff accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Summerville, South Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and assisting with tax-related tasks. Responsibilities :

• Maintain and update general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and manage corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Handle sales tax calculations and filings in a timely manner.
• Record and review journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage and track financial transactions.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data to maintain accuracy.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Assist with the cleanup and organization of existing accounting records to improve efficiency.
