Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide high-quality care for patients with complex wounds, working collaboratively with physicians and staff to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage wound healing. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, patient education, and assisting with advanced wound care procedures.
Salary
$105,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, venous and arterial ulcers, surgical wounds, and others.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on wound care and preventive measures.
- Assist with advanced wound treatments such as debridement, negative pressure therapy, and grafts.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests relevant to wound management.
- Monitor healing progress, adjust treatments, and ensure follow-up care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team for seamless patient care.
- Educate patients on wound healing, infection prevention, and post-procedure care.
- Prescribe medications and topical therapies for wound management.
- Participate in quality improvement and stay updated on wound care advancements.
- Document all care activities accurately in the EHR system.
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications
Proficiency in wound assessment and advanced wound care techniques preferred.Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and patient-centered skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and with a team.Familiarity with EHR systems.Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.Education & Experience
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.Current NP licensure in Florida.Certification in BLS and ACLS.2-3 years of clinical experience, preferably in wound care or related fields.Core Values
