Island Health is offering a $4,000 sign-on bonus for an experienced Emergency Department Technician for our Part-Time Night Shift at our hospital in Anacortes, WA.
Work Schedule :
- 0.9 FTE / 26 hours weekly
- Night shift / 7 : 00 pm - 7 : 30 am
Salary Range : $21.98 - $32.65 / hr.

Transports patients to rooms / treatment rooms, using wheelchair or stretcher, or assists them to walk.Obtains and documents vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, temperature and pain level and places appropriate patients on the cardiac monitor.Answers call lights and determines patients' needs. Assists patients as needed (dress and undress patients, assist with toileting etc.).Assists with various examinations and treatments including but not limited to : pelvic exams, chest tube placements, wound care, laceration repair, and closed reduction of limbs.Verifies discharge sheet against admission sheet for accuracy and return of valuables such as glasses, hearing aids and items stored in safe.Distributes charts of discharged patients and distributes appropriately.Places surgery pack and consent on chart when ordered.Takes specimens to lab; directs patients / visitors.Retrieves medical records on admits after hours.Job Requirements :
Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant course of study.Current Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant registration.Current Basic Life Support Certification.Experience working in a busy clinical setting with changing priorities preferred.Join our award-winning team and apply today!
