Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Tooling to join the San Antonio facility to support the end-of-line repair area and plant wide projects. This position will assist with development of leading-edge commercial vehicle solutions to meet the needs of our customers and implement benchmark lean manufacturing and Industry 4.0 principles.
Responsibilities
Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes in the manufacturing or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with various engineering disciplines in supporting tooling, fixture, and equipment needs for the plant. Responsible for designing of fixtures, tools, jigs and equipment; procuring designs externally or coordinating internal fabrication or modification, as appropriate, including modifications to existing items. Create and maintain records of fixtures and equipment.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree
At least 2 years of product manufacturing experience OR Master's degree OR At least 4 years of product manufacturing experience.
Additional Requirements
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status).
Desired Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
Experience with truck or automotive assembly is a plus.
Detailed analytical skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Proven ability to initiate and support change to the organization.
Ability to interact with all levels of management at the local and division levels.
Proficient MS Office computer skills.
Proficient with AutoCad, Unigraphics or NX highly desired.
Experience with additive manufacturing and metal working.
GD&T experience.
