Senior Director, Finance

Overview

Senior Director, Finance. We are seeking a strategically minded leader, analytic problem solver, and curiosity-driven team member to provide financial leadership to Capital One’s Finance, Credit & Financial Risk Management (CFRM) and External Affairs functions. Responsibilities include leading a team of associates; collaborating with the business to set an executable budget; analyzing current financial results to identify issues and opportunities; and communicating what has occurred, why, and recommended next steps. This team will support key strategic decisions with enterprise impact, including workforce geo strategy, recruiting capacity planning, and more. The leader will regularly interact with EC and EC+1 leaders. The role requires strong customer focus, partnering abilities, problem solving, strategic thinking, executive-level communication, project management, and influencing skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide reporting, analysis, and forecasting to facilitate strategic decision making and to track performance to operating goals and imperatives
• Assess business opportunities and risks with an orientation to long-term value creation and delivering appropriate financial performance
• Achieve a deep understanding of the goals of Staff and Enterprise Services in the context of the company’s overarching goals; identify risks, opportunities and drive collaboration to achieve results
• Communicate effectively at the highest levels of the organization, articulate key messages clearly, and respond to questions and issues knowledgeably and with confidence
• Lead a cross-functional team with diverse backgrounds and skill sets to accomplish a common goal
• Play a critical role as a leader in the Finance organization, bringing an enterprise-level perspective to support technology, diversity, talent and process improvement efforts

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries reflect the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of posting and are specific to the location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. McLean, VA : $234,000 - $267,100 for Sr. Director, Financial Mgt; Richmond, VA : $212,800 - $242,800 for Sr. Director, Financial Mgt. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location, and the actual salary offered will be in the offer letter.

This role is eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and / or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
