ViewRay Systems designs, manufactures, and markets the MRIdian A3i® radiation therapy system. The MRIdian A3i system is designed to treat patients with the smallest radiation therapy margins available  with the highest patient throughput demonstrated for the most complicated cases

The MRIdian A3i system treats by aligning the sharpest radiation therapy beam on the market to diagnostic quality magnetic resonance images (MRIs) of the patient, adapts the treatment plan to the reality of the patient, and then uses the real-time MRIs to control the beam and record real-time doses delivered to the patient.

Job Description :

ViewRay is currently looking for an experienced, self-motivated Senior Electrical Engineer who will share our passion for conquering cancer and help us develop our groundbreaking MRI guided Radiation Therapy system. The ideal candidate is an adept problem solver and leader that can work through technical challenges and employ pragmatic solutions. You will work closely with mechanical engineering, control systems, software engineering, and other teams to develop systems from concept through final release.

  • \tDesign and develop electrical system / sub-system solutions from concept to production.
  • \tDevelop the next generation MRI Spectrometer.
  • \tIntegrate modules into assemblies and design cables and wiring diagrams.
  • \tPerform analysis and develop testing methods that ensure the safe and effective design and operation of new products.
  • \tPerform design and user failure mode and risk analysis for a safe and reliable product.
  • \tPerform hands on activities such as prototype assembly, installation, and testing.
  • \tFollow guidelines of internal design controls and change controls processes.
  • \tPerform schematic design and work with the CAD team on PCB layout.
  • \tResponsible for managing design files and system BOM.
  • \tProvide technical support to external design and manufacturing partners.

Required Qualifications :

  • \tBSEE or other related degree
  • \t5 - 10 years of electrical engineering experience.
  • \tStrong understanding of mixed signal circuit design and DSPs
  • \tFilter design and signal processing experience.
  • \tEMC compatible design / solution experience
  • \tAble to quickly grasp user level or system requirements and translate into subsystem requirements and designs.
  • \tCircuit design and simulation tool experience (i.e. Altium, Matlab, spice).
  • \tExcellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • \tMust be able to work around strong magnetic field.
  • \tRequire travel up to 10% to installation sites, vendor locations, and external design and manufacturing house.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • \tMRI spectrometer system design experience.
  • \tMSEE
  • \tExperience designing to various standards under IEC 60601 (Medical Electrical Devices).
  • \tDemonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities
  • \tEffective oral and written communication skills
