As a Security Officer - Access Control Patrol in Lompoc, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a leading Tech / Media / Telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and providing outstanding customer service while utilizing technology such as computers or tablets. Monday 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 30 PM

Tuesday 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 30 PM

Wednesday 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 30 PM

Thursday 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 30 PM

Friday 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access to the location's facilities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, based on site procedures and client needs.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and / or unusual circumstances to appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with client staff and visitors to address inquiries and maintain a professional environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
