The Coordinator I Recovery Services is designed for applicants to develop skills and knowledge in community resources and customer housing needs as well as developing skills in processes related to customer service in a professional office setting. The primary purpose of this job is to refer callers to resources in the community that may be able to help in solving the caller's housing and / or service needs. Another component of this job is to develop (expand) a contemporary list of community resources so that the information can be disseminated to the customers (callers).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist with the organization and development of community resource information.
- Fielding incoming calls from the community (customers) and answering questions about MHAOK Housing Programs as well as other available housing assistance programs in the community.
- Customer service and engagement via phone and in person.
- Basic assessment of customer's housing and / or service needs.
- Filing and general record keeping and other clerical duties.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :
Basic understanding of MHAOK's housing programs would be a plus but applicants should be prepared to learn about housing models, the Association's housing philosophy and how to assess a caller's housing needs.Basic skills in customer service and engagement both on the phone and in person.Must have a "friendly" disposition, positive attitude, and a capacity to multi-task.Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and other computer functions such as e-mail and Google search.Must have good written and oral communication skills.WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Work is performed in climate-controlled office setting, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat / cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is unlikely.Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (printers, fax machine, phones, etc.)No environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.Work requires a flexible work schedule due to internal and external meetings. Occasional travel may be required; must have reliable transportation.Tuesday - Saturday
