Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Columbia, SC 29204 (South Carolina nursing jobs) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 8 / 2025 - End : 3 / 9 / 2026) Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Hospital - General Surgery Operating Room Nursing Shift : Day Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (6 : 30am - 7 : 00pm) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,470 - $1,570 On-Call : 1-2 call days per week (starting at 5pm); 1 call weekend every 5 weeks (Saturday 7am - Monday 7am) Guaranteed Hours : Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Scrubs : Hospital-issued Charting System : Epic Parking : Free parking in downtown lots and garages (parking pass provided) Operating Room Nurse Qualifications Active South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact Registered Nurse license (must be active prior to start) Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience BLS certification required Radiation badge required (provided by agency) Experience with Epic charting system preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred First-time travel nurses welcome Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) OR RN Responsibilities Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative nursing care to adult and geriatric patients Assist in a variety of surgical procedures : general, orthopedic, gynecologic, neurological, and robotic surgeries Maintain strict sterile technique and universal protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical support staff Participate in scheduled on-call rotation Float within nursing scope to meet facility needs Ensure accurate documentation and specimen handling Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Columbia, South Carolina!
