The RN is responsible for the prevention of illness and injury and the alleviation of suffering. The RN conducts diagnosis and treatment of human response and advocates for individuals and families. The RN ensures compliance with all standards of practice and professional development as per the Nurse Practice Act. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
