Compensation & Benefits

Salary :   $300,000 - $400,000 annually, depending on experience and board status.

Hiring Bonus / Relocation : Up to $25,000 Signing Bonus, based on commitment length!

Position Summary

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist is responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and their families within a multidisciplinary setting. You will be directly involved in complex diagnostic assessment, evidence-based psychopharmacological management, and therapeutic intervention. Your work will require effective collaboration with psychologists, therapists, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnostic Assessmen t : Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, formulating accurate diagnoses for a wide range of child and adolescent mental health conditions.

Medication Management : Provide expert, evidence-based psychopharmacological management as a core component of individualized treatment plans.

Therapeutic Intervention : Offer individual, family, and group therapy when clinically appropriate.

Collaboration : Work seamlessly with psychologists, therapists, social workers, and educators to coordinate comprehensive care.

Documentation : Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health records (EHRs).

Crisis Response : Provide necessary crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric services.

Program Contribution : Actively participate in clinical case conferences and contribute to the development and implementation of new clinical programs and services.

Patient Education : Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and wellness strategies.

Qualifications

Education :   Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

Training : Completion of an accredited General Psychiatry Residency and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship .

Certification :   Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Licensure : Current, unrestricted medical license in the State of Alaska (or immediate eligibility to obtain).

Requirements : Active DEA registration.

Skills : Superior clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment; excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork capabilities.
