What You’ll Be Doing
Technical / PM Leadership
- Lead the development and review of feasibility studies, design specifications, cost estimates, construction sequencing, and permitting documentation
- Author and review structural analysis reports and calculations
- Conduct condition assessments of concrete, steel, and earth structures
- Facilitate technical discussions with clients, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders
- Ensure high-quality technical writing and review of project deliverables
- Manage project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and invoicing
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and delegate tasks effectively
- Mentor junior engineers, supporting both technical growth and career development
- Contribute to proposal development and marketing efforts
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)15+ years of experience, ideally focused on dams and hydroelectric facilitiesLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to obtain reciprocityCore Skills
Expertise in structural design and analysis of concrete and steel structures (e.g., dams, penstocks, flood walls)Strong background in project management and team leadershipProficiency in :Structural analysis tools (Visual Analysis, STAAD.Pro, RISA)
FEA SoftwareAutoCAD Civil 3D and RevitExceptional technical writing, organizational skills, and attention to detailFamiliarity with FERC dam safety standards and regulatory frameworksKnowledge of seismic analysis, geotechnical design, or fish passage systemsExperience with GeoSTUDIO softwareBenefits & Perks
