Senior Health System Operations Project Manager (HSOPM)
UW Medicine's Strategy Division has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Health System Operations Project Manager. This position is highly visible, requiring a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, knowledge of the programs and projects at UW Medicine, attention to detail, and ability to quickly build and maintain positive relationships with key leaders and managers across the health system and associated organizations. A strong blend of project and program management, influence, leadership, relationship management and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Primary job responsibilities include providing project management for the full project lifecycle for large scale initiatives and enterprise critical strategic projects, creating structure and approach to manage complex projects, leading major projects, providing leadership for project team, managing project scope, schedule, budget and change requests, monitoring and managing key deliverables, managing all aspects of multiple related projects, mentoring junior project managers, presenting results and status to executive and physician leadership, and providing status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in the areas of information systems, business administration, health care administration or related field, at least 7 years of demonstrated success in project management, demonstrated ability to influence leaders, employees and teams, strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills, proven experience motivating high-performing individuals, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
