Job Summary
Under the guidance of our Imaging Services Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, you will :
- Perform radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.
- Ensure efficient and safe processes while providing exceptional patient care.
Essential Responsibilities
Your day-to-day activities will include :
Executing specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.Using your excellent interpersonal skills to explain procedures to patients, easing their anxieties and securing cooperation.Preparing and positioning patients for imaging procedures to ensure optimal results.Adjusting immobilization devices and equipment settings to achieve the best diagnostic images.Operating mobile radiologic equipment in various settings, from the operating room to patient bedsides.Collaborating closely with radiologists and other qualified physicians during fluoroscopic exams.Maintaining radiologic equipment, performing routine checks, and troubleshooting minor issues.Training new staff and nurturing the next generation of radiologic technologists.Completing records, logs, and reports of your work for efficient patient tracking.Practicing safe radiation techniques to protect both patients and staff.Required Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or GED is required.Certification : Must hold a Certified Radiologic Technologist certificate and relevant California certifications.Skills : Strong ability to communicate effectively and provide top-notch patient care.Must be willing to thrive in a Labor Management Partnership environment.Additional requirements may include a California Mammography Certificate and other specific certifications, depending on the position's needs and your experience.
