Responsibilities Work in a general and trauma Operating Room setting at a hospital Serve a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Perform a wide variety of surgical procedures such as thoracic, endoscopic, general surgery, gynecology, neurology, orthopedic, plastics, podiatry, robotics, urology, and trauma cases Day shift schedule : 3x12 hours, 9 : 00 AM to 9 : 30 PM Call responsibilities are required Weekend coverage required every other weekend Utilizes Omnicell medication dispensing system Electronic documentation is done using Epic In-house coverage includes CRNA and anesthesiologist available 24 / 7 Must complete EKG testing within 72 hours of signing, if applicable Up to one pre-approved time-off request is permitted per contract, with no time off allowed in the first two weeks First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have at least 5 years of OR experience Two professional supervisory references are required; charge RN references are not acceptable Parking is provided in an employee garage at no cost Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers Scrub attire required as per department standards Requirements Active NY RN license required at time of consideration Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required Trauma Level 2 experience required; Trauma Level 1 experience preferred Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Epic charting experience preferred but not required Return staff must have a one-year gap before returning as a traveler COVID-19 vaccination required with no exceptions Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628459.
