Construction Manager

William A. Hazel, Inc., a total site development contractor for over 60 years, is seeking a Construction Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for leading and overseeing a project management team responsible for a variety of mission critical, VDOT and K-12 Commercial and Jurisdictional construction projects. This leadership role is vital to ensuring project success, meeting financial and operational goals, and fostering strong client relationships.

Essential Functions

• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract scope, design, budget, and timeline.
• Provide guidance and oversight to project managers and job / crew superintendents through frequent site visits.
• Collaborate on implementation and interpretation of company safety programs.
• Monitor productivity, budget, and scheduling performance to meet company and client expectations.
• Lead regular meetings with project teams and executive management to align progress and resolve challenges.
• Develop succession plans and identify internal or external candidates for key team roles.
• Maintain positive client relationships through consistent communication and professionalism.
