Job Description
This is a remote position. Key Responsibilities :
- Shipping and Receiving Oversight : Manage all aspects of shipping and receiving, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of products. Oversee the handling, packaging, and storing of goods in preparation for shipping.
- Inventory Management : Keep accurate records of inventory levels and ensure the availability of necessary shipping materials. Implement inventory control processes to minimize losses and maximize efficiency.
- Logistics Coordination : Coordinate with logistics companies and courier services for shipping. Negotiate contracts and rates with shipping carriers to optimize costs.
- Quality Control : Ensure the quality and safety of products during the shipping process. Implement and oversee quality control measures to maintain the integrity of goods.
- Team Leadership and Training : Lead and manage the shipping department team, providing training and guidance to staff members. Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages efficiency and productivity.
- Compliance and Documentation : Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and laws. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all shipping activities.
- Customer Service : Address customer inquiries and issues related to shipping. Work closely with customer service teams to resolve any shipment-related complaints or problems.
- Process Improvement : Continuously assess and improve shipping processes for greater efficiency. Implement new technologies or methods to enhance shipping and receiving operations.
- Budget Management : Manage the budget for the shipping department, including cost analysis and reporting.
- Emergency Response : Handle emergency situations effectively, such as delays or damaged goods, ensuring minimal impact on company operations and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Qualifications :
