Senior Finance Manager – Consumer Finance
Senior Finance Managers in our team drive transformation of business performance measurement, resource management, and financial leadership through business intelligence, modeling, and analytics. We partner with engineering, central finance, marketing, and product teams to set strategic product and pricing decisions that sustain growth across the Microsoft consumer ecosystem and accelerate AI adoption for consumer users.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements through rigorous review and documentation.
- Support audit readiness and policy adherence across financial processes, recommending improvements and corrective actions where needed.
- Analyze current and future financial performance across products and segments, supporting strategic decisions through modeling and scenario planning.
- Contribute to annual planning and forecasting cycles, including insights that inform adjusted forecasts and investment prioritization.
- Support monthly close and reporting cycles, preparing financial summaries and variance analyses that highlight key drivers and trends.
- Serve as a trusted finance advisor to engineering, marketing, central finance, and product teams, supporting decisions on monetization, pricing, and campaign ROI.
- Apply foundational knowledge of financial systems and business models to deliver insights and drive accountability across KPIs such as subscriptions growth, share gain, and Copilot attach rates.
- Communicate results and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, including executive audiences, using structured analysis and visual storytelling.
- Improve reporting and forecasting processes through automation and integration of financial systems with M365 collaboration tools like Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Leverage Copilot for Finance capabilities to accelerate reconciliation, variance identification, and data preparation workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance.OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance.OR equivalent experience.2+ years experience partnering with business / functional leaders.Demonstrated prioritization, organization, and stakeholder management skills.Demonstrated drive for results and impact orientation.Proficient communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills, with proven executive presence.Financial Analysis IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 – $188,400 per year. The base pay range for this role in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area is USD $123,500 – $206,400 per year.
