Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Dental Health Services isn’t just a steward of the numbers — they’re a strategic visionary and hands‑on problem solver who turns ideas into measurable impact. As a key member of our Executive Team, you’ll shape and drive the company’s financial strategy, ensuring our mission and values come to life through smart, sustainable growth.

You’ll oversee all financial operations, systems, and compliance activities, but more importantly, you’ll bring an innovative, “what’s possible” mindset to every decision — balancing fiscal discipline with bold, strategic action.

Responsibilities
Lead all financial strategy, planning, and analysis functions.Ensure effective and efficient financial tracking and reporting of administrative, functional, and service operations.Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and requirements governing financial operations and reporting.Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Support marketing, sales, and operational goals with sound financial guidance.Develop and communicate policies, procedures, and regulatory updates.Partner with executives to build and execute the company’s strategic vision.Manage and mentor finance team members, fostering growth and accountability.Build and maintain trust‑based relationships with key stakeholders at state, county, and local levels.Provide oversight of vendor selection, evaluation, and performance management.Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to develop new product lines, determine plan rates, and prepare regulatory filings and documentation.Maintain high levels of integrity, transparency, and compliance across all financial functions.Perform additional duties as required.Required Qualifications
Experience with regulatory filings with Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) and / or California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC)Previous healthcare experience requiredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) license requiredClear, concise communication skills , both written and verbalMust be onsite in Seattle, WA10+ years of progressive experience in finance or strategic leadershipBachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent directly related experience)Preferred Qualifications
MBA strongly preferredProven turnaround experience with demonstrated success in financial transformation or recovery initiativesExperience in ESOP or member-owned organizations a plusStrong record of cross-functional collaboration and executive leadershipAbility to drive innovation and operational efficiency through data-driven decision-makingWhy Join Us
