Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping Scanner / Sorter to join our high-volume industrial shipping operation. This role is essential in ensuring that all outbound shipments are accurately scanned, sorted by carrier, and placed into designated Gaylord containers for final dispatch. The ideal candidate is efficient, organized, and able to handle large volumes of parcels with speed and precision.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Accurately scan outbound parcels using industrial-grade scanning equipment
• Sort packages by carrier (FedEx, UPS, USPS, LSO, etc.) and place them into correctly labeled Gaylords or outbound pallets
• Handle and process high volumes of packages quickly and accurately
• Identify and resolve scanning errors, mislabels, or mismatched carriers immediately
• Inspect packages for compliance with shipping standards (weight, labeling, packaging integrity)
• Maintain an organized and continuous flow of outbound shipments
• Communicate proactively with supervisors regarding interruptions or high-volume surges
• Follow all safety protocols and handling procedures in a fast-paced environment
• Perform general warehouse and shipping duties as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in high-volume shipping or fulfillment operations
• Familiarity with sorting and labeling requirements of major carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL)
• Proficiency with handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Strong attention to detail and fast, accurate scanning skills
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and remain on feet for long periods
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills under pressure
• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends or overtime during peak seasons

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in pharmaceutical, e-commerce, or 3PL (Third Party Logistics) fulfillment
• OSHA certification or knowledge of warehouse safety standards
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Environment and Cognitive / Physical Demands:

• Work is performed in a warehouse or shipping facility, with possible exposure to cold storage areas
• Requires concentration on detailed tasks with a high degree of accuracy
• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Requires normal vision range
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, climb, and stack items safely

Job Type: Full-Time This is a 100% onsite role; remote or hybrid work is not available

Shift: 8hrs shifts Monday - Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (evening) and 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (overnight)

Bonus potential: Up to $1,500

Pay Range $18 - $19 USD
