Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons (SOS) in Montgomery, Alabama is actively seeking a Fellowship-Trained Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon to join our well-established private practice. This high-demand position offers immediate surgical volume (80% spine / 20% general orthopaedics) , access to modern facilities, strong referral networks, and a clear path to partnership. Position Highlights

Mix of clinic and OR :

2.5–3 days in clinic

2 days in OR (cases typically 6 : 45 AM – 3 : 30 PM)

Monday–Friday schedule; no weekend clinic

ModMed EMR

Call shared equally among partners

Onsite and nearby ancillary support : imaging, physical therapy, orthopaedic urgent care

Practice support from 8 APPs and 6 therapists

Modest general ortho responsibilities as you build spine volume

Compensation & Benefits :

About Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons (SOS)

Team of 11 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers

5 practice locations serving central Alabama

Onsite physical therapy, durable medical equipment, and urgent orthopaedic care clinic (open Mon–Sat, 8 AM–8 PM)

Physician-owned ASC located across the street; new center under development

Team physicians for the Montgomery Biscuits, AA Minor League Baseball team

Strong, independent reputation in the community with support from a collaborative, physician-led platform

Qualifications

BC / BE in Orthopaedic Surgery with Fellowship training in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery required

Will consider Neuro Spine

Eligible for Alabama medical licensure

Strong clinical skills, professionalism, and a team-first mindset
