Overview
Server Assistant - Jason Aldean's, Gatlinburg at TC Restaurant Group. The Server Assistant (SA) helps servers in food & beverage service in a high-volume, live entertainment restaurant and bar setting. SAs support the Restaurant Server to enhance guest experience, anticipate needs, and ensure each guest has a wonderful visit. Duties include delivering exceptional service in a professional manner, transporting materials / supplies, assisting with beverage and food service, and maintaining cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist restaurant servers in tasks necessary to maintain their tables and assist guests throughout the visit.
- Provide friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful service of food and beverages in line with established quality and time standards.
- Maintain knowledge of food and bar menus and understand host and support staff procedures.
- Prepare restaurant tables with sanitation and setup in mind.
- Ensure tabletops, chairs, and surrounding floor areas are sanitized.
- Read and understand food or beverage orders; ensure orders meet safety standards and proper temperatures.
- Confirm orders have appropriate preparation, plateware, garnish, presentation, and serving utensils before delivering to guests.
- Announce the names of foods and beverages delivered to guests.
- Carry dishes from bars and tables to kitchen dish area; maintain clean service stations and equipment storage.
- Maintain good rapport with front-of-house and back-of-house teams; inform management of complaints, comments, or incidents.
- Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in written and verbal form.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests courteously and knowledgeably; circulate through work areas to maintain atmosphere control.
- Keep tabletops, floors, and service areas clear of dirty glasses and unnecessary items; complete opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.
- Clean spills promptly; sweep and mop as needed; dispose of trash properly.
- Anticipate guest needs and deliver items timely and accurately; manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
- Adhere to departmental appearance and uniform standards while maintaining professionalism.
- Follow all company and department policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
