Team Description :

The Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team is integral to realizing our AI vision. Collaborating with various partners, we push the boundaries of AI science and engineering to deliver proprietary solutions that drive significant value for our customers. Our AI platforms help teams across Capital One to incorporate the transformative potential of AI in responsible and scalable ways.

In this role, you will :

Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, research scientists, and product managers to create AI-powered products that enhance workflows and customer interactions.

Design, develop, test, and support AI software components, focusing on foundation model training, large language model inference, and model evaluation.

Utilize a range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, and PyTorch to craft solutions.

Innovate and implement cutting-edge LLM optimization techniques to boost performance and efficiency in large-scale production AI systems.

Contribute to our technical vision and craft the long-term roadmap for foundational AI systems at Capital One.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with at least 3 years of experience in AI and ML development, or a Master’s degree with at least 1 year of experience.

Minimum of 3 years of programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.

Preferred Qualifications :

4 years of experience implementing scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or equivalent).

Experience in developing and delivering AI services successfully.

Background in AI and ML algorithms (e.g., LLM Inference, Similarity Search) using programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.

Expertise in optimizing AI training and inference software for improved resource utilization and performance metrics.
