Logistics Professional For Amazon Web Services Team
Amazon is seeking a logistics professional for our Amazon Web Services team in the Columbus, OH area. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. Logistics specialists monitor inventory levels to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activities in our warehouse and data centers. They process inbound and outbound shipments, verify inventory, conduct cycle counts, manage an inventory management system and own chain-of-custody processes for data center technicians and engineers. They will also be responsible for transporting parts between different locations operating sprinter vans, trucks, or various powered equipment (i.e forklift or electric pallet jack). Specialists should be comfortable and willing to regularly drive a variety of motorized vehicles, including box trucks up to 26' in length. Due to interstate operating authority commerce regulations, candidates must be at least 21 years or older. Candidate must hold a valid state-appropriate driver's license, be able to obtain their Driver Qualification File (DQF) and or a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Candidate must obtain & maintain a DOT Med Card and be eligible to drive in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. This position involves frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials and products. Logistics specialists will be required to keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company. They must also maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all work spaces. Preferred candidates will have experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment, as well as experience and knowledge of reverse logistics processes. This future Amazonian must possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, commitment to operational excellence, and adhere to strict safety standards.
