About the Role
We’re looking for a System Administrator with strong expertise in networking, device management, and automation . You’ll join Capsule’s IT team to ensure seamless daily operations across our infrastructure while leading initiatives that enhance security, reliability, and scalability .
You’ll manage and optimize Capsule’s Cisco Meraki network, MaaS360, Jamf-managed Apple fleet, and cloud environments, automating repetitive tasks and strengthening compliance under HIPAA and SOC 2 standards.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on networking and MDM experience who wants to expand their impact through cloud operations , AI-assisted automation , and modern infrastructure-as-code practices.
Key Responsibilities
Support and Maintain IT Systems
Administer and monitor Capsule’s core IT systems to ensure high uptime and performance.
Manage user access, group policies, and endpoint configurations across macOS, Windows, and mobile devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues efficiently.
Networking Expertise
Configure and maintain Cisco Meraki infrastructure including switches, wireless access points, and security appliances.
Manage VLANs, VPNs, and DHCP / DNS services to ensure secure and optimized connectivity across all locations.
Monitor network health, analyze traffic, and perform routine capacity planning to prevent bottlenecks.
Implement firewall rules , network segmentation , and zero-trust access controls to protect internal and cloud resources.
Support site expansions and remote offices by provisioning fiber uplinks, coordinating ISPs, and validating network redundancy.
Automate and Streamline Operations
Develop and maintain PowerShell , Python , or Bash scripts to automate onboarding, device provisioning, and compliance reporting.
Implement lightweight automation to reduce manual workloads and improve service response times.
Network and Cloud Administration
Support Cisco Meraki devices (switches, firewalls, WAPs), VPN setups, and network segmentation.
Maintain AWS WorkSpaces for remote employees including desktop image deployment and lifecycle management.
Assist in disaster-recovery testing, backup validation, and infrastructure monitoring.
Security and Compliance
Deploy and manage CrowdStrike Falcon across all endpoints.
Monitor SIEM dashboards , investigate alerts, and assist with vulnerability remediation.
Support compliance audits by maintaining accurate logs, access reports, and HIPAA / SOC 2 evidence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
3–5 years of system-administration experience in a SaaS or cloud environment.
Experience managing macOS / iOS fleets using Jamf Pro or similar MDM tools.
Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki , AWS WorkSpaces , and CrowdStrike Falcon .
Working knowledge of IAM systems , VPNs , and privilege management .
Proficiency in PowerShell , Python , or Bash scripting.
Understanding of HIPAA , SOC 2 , and data-protection best practices.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
