Since 1995, Nova Consulting provides professional Civil / Environmental engineering services through every stage of public infrastructure improvement including planning, design, and construction, as well as Program / Construction Management (PM / CM) services. Nova serves federal, state, and local government agencies on award-winning, multi-million-dollar projects for water / wastewater, environmental, resilience / SLR, airports, seaports, transit, roadway, and non-motorized transport.

We are seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Engineer to assist in various public infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for growth in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, design, and construction of engineering infrastructure for public agencies.
  • Develop solutions for technical problems using scientific principles, theories, and technologies.
  • Prepare data, work plans, reports, and scientific documents.
  • Conduct field visits to investigate, record, and photograph local conditions.
  • Interpret and analyze data, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Apply knowledge of natural sciences to engineering problems.
  • Use CAD, GIS, and other software for planning and design.
  • Prepare studies, construction documents, drawings, reports, and calculations.
  • Coordinate with technicians, project managers, subcontractors, and field staff.
  • Assist with regulatory documentation for permits.
  • Review analytical data and provide technical support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in civil engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction principles.
  • Preferred : experience with GIS, AutoCAD, Civil3D.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to verify accuracy of designs and data.
  • Adherence to standards, procedures, budgets, and schedules.
