Job description

Contract Project Coordinator

Location : Onsite in Quincy, Massachusetts

Pay Rate : $30-$37 an hour W2

The client seeks a highly motivated Project Coordinator to drive the planning, coordination, and execution of the implementation of the Electronic Visit Verification project. The Project Coordinator will report to the Applications Director and EVV Technical Project Manager and shall oversee the many business, technical, vendor, project, and procurement requirements needed for the success of the complete project, software development, and operations phase required for the ongoing health of the clients program. Project coordination is a key function of this role, so ensuring weekly updates as to the status of work, items that are outstanding, items that have been completed during the week, and what work is planned for the next week will be an important aspect of this role. This role demands a high level of organizational acumen, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and effective communication skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will oversee project timelines, resource allocation, budget management, and the quality of project deliverables. They will also mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure projects align with the strategic goals of the company. This position requires someone who can foster collaboration and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Strong leadership abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential to excel in this role.

The candidate is required to have strong project coordination and issue management experience, able to plan weekly efforts, manage communications, have prior experience in working within project governance structures, in documenting meeting minutes, maintaining project issues such as; defects, open items, and completed items (in Excel, Jira, or other tracking system). The candidate will be working in a matrixed but highly collaborative environment. This position is currently a hybrid remote position with the candidate able to come into the Quincy MA office when requested.

Job Duties :

  • Ensure the quality, timeliness, and continuity of the business program in reviewing all project deliverables, managing and monitoring of issues and risks (RAID Reporting) within the project and operations, consolidating project, technical, security, and vendor documentation to the clients designated internal repository, and be responsible for the ongoing monitoring of the service levels & support agreements of the EVV Program.
  • Provide support for IT projects, such as issues and actions necessary for remediation.
  • Present weekly findings and / or recommendations as required to internal and external stakeholders, reporting on the progress within each stage of design, development, implementation, testing, and operational activities of the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) solution.
  • Work closely with business, project management, and business managers.
  • Evaluate and ensure proper change control and updates to source documentation and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactively manage issues, risks, and dependencies, employing problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles and ensure successful project tasks.
  • Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand language.
  • Quickly gain a deep understanding of our business and / or application processes.
  • Experience and knowledge of working in a software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience managing and / or working with 3rd party vendors or consultants.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with management, end users, project team members, and vendors. Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, Visio, MS Project, other project management and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Qualifications :

  • Associate or Bachelors Degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Professional certification in Project Management, Security, or Business Analysis would be preferred or a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in business application implementation support.
  • Strong familiarity with Security, HIPAA, and Privacy Standards in working with EDI, PII, and PHI data.
  • Excellent technical skills, including experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and take direction from lead managers.
